Ashford was most recently seen in the role of Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as the central figure in the nation's first impeachment proceedings in Over a Century. Ashford appeared for two seasons on the CBS successful comedy B Positive. It was co-produced by Chuck Lorre with Marco Pennette. It featured Linda lavin, Hector Elizondo, and Ben Vereen. Ashford is no stranger to Broadway. Her portrayal of Essie on You Can't Take It with You earned her Tony Drama Desk Awards and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Her additional Broadway roles are Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the originating role of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots a performance for which she received another Tony Award nomination. Ashford was born and raised in Denver and is now dividing her life between Los Angeles, and New York.
