After she began her career as a performer, Gilbert was a lover of Johnny Galecki before recognizing her homosexuality. Sara Gilbert began to date Allison Adler. She came out after their breakup, just prior to the premiere of her talk show. Sara Gilbert was married with Linda Perry from 2014 to in 2019.
